Dear Beauty and the Beads customers,
Our first 15th anniversary event, our Spring Home Show, will take place this week on May 6, 7, and 8. We are very excited that small gatherings are allowed and we are able to socialize a little more freely. Sharon and I are both members of the "fully vaccinated club". However, we are conscientiously providing a COVID safe environment for our valued customers.

We are offering three ways to shop our show.
1. Small group: On Thursday, May 6, and Friday, May 7 from 10:00 - 3:00 we will offer appointment shopping. Sign up for a small group time (6 masked people per hour) on Sign Up Genius. If you need help signing onto Sign UP Genius, contact us (we will do it for you!)

2. Open Door Shopping: On Thursday and Friday from 3:00 - 8:00 pm, and on Saturday, May 8 from 10:00 - to 3:00 you may come at any time. We will limit the number of people in the room.
3. Private Single Appointment: Contact us and we will set you up either before the show starts or in an empty time slot. Contact us directly at beautyandthebeads@comcast.net or call us directly.
Follow the signs on the driveway for entry to the The Back Porch. We are limiting our guest count to 6 guests per hour for this event. Masks are required. These provisions are being made so that you have a comfortable shopping experience and also ensures we're able to keep everyone safely distanced in my well ventilated three season room.

On October 17, Sharon and I will be setting up our jewelry under a tent on our front yard. We will have our fall and holiday jewelry available for purchase as well as the rest of inventory. Please wear a mask and be aware of Social Distancing when you arrive to shop. We look to forward to seeing our valued customers.

October 8, 2020 - 2:00 pm: Virtual Art Exhibit and Presentation for Cosmopolitan Club of Philadelphia members and guests.
Sharon and I are so excited to have been selected to be one of the two featured artists for the Cosmopolitan Club of Philadelphia Virtual Art Exhibit. We will be giving a 30 minute presentation on the history of Kumihimo Jewelry and showing examples of our work on Zoom on Thursday, October 8 at 2:00 pm. BATB first Facebook Live Event next Tuesday and Thursday (5/5 and 5/7/2020!)
On Tuesday, May 5 and Thursday, May 7 at 7:00 PM (EST), Sharon and I will be on Facebook Live presenting our latest jewelry pieces. We will offer 20 sets of jewelry each night which can be purchased.

How will it work?
By May 1, all of the sets we are presenting on the FB Live will be posted on our website under the NEW PRODUCTS tab. This way you will have a chance to see what we are offering. www.beautyandthebeadsshop.com
We will present our jewelry in sets. You may choose to buy one piece of the set or all of it. You will post in the FB chat the number and letter of the pieces you are interested in. You should then PM (Private messenger) us your name, email address and home address (if you want it sent to you) and set number. Remember… we are one of a kind business so whoever posts first and PM’s us their info, will get the piece(s).
IMPORTANT: I am told that there is sometimes a delay as to what we see and what you see in the chat space on FB. So the person’s name and item number - THAT WE SEE FIRST - is the person who will be able to buy the item. WE WILL TRY TO MENTION THE SOLD ITEM NUMBERS AS WE GO ALONG WHILE WE ARE LIVE ON FB.
How can you pay? And how will you receive your order?
You will receive an invoice within 48 hours via paypal and we will begin to process the orders. We will set up a socially distant pick up place and time for you via PM. If you do not live near or prefer, we can ship out your items via USPS. There will be a flat shipping fee of $6 per shipped order.
We hope that you will join us next week on our Facebook Live video and say hi! Sharon and I will miss seeing all of our customers in person but we all pray that this social distancing will be over by our next home show!

Summer Fun!
So Sharon and I are busy taking classes in photography, PMC clay, and booth design to up our game even more! The Haverford Guild Show was a big success. We enjoyed the two days meeting new people and talking about our Kumihimo braids.
WE are looking to begin on working our new designs for our summer ventures and fall shows. Here are some examples of our new photos!
Haverford Guild of Craftsmen Show
Sharon and I are now the co-vice presidents for the Haverford Guild of Craftsmen. This group of dedicated artists are lovely to spend time with and are very serious about their work. Come spend some time the weekend of April 30 at our new venue, St. Anastasia's School. You will be impressed!

Summer Fun!
As I spend the second part of my summer in West Cape May, I am busy beading and braiding! I have worn this fun pair of earrings around town and received many compliments! The resin starfish is embedded along with Swarovski chatons in crystal clay on a 1" gold or silverplate bezel. Let me know if you want a pair! $40 a pair!

What a great weekend show!
The Haverford Guild of Craftsmen Spring Craft Show was wonderful. There were many amazing artists whose work was displayed beautifully. The church and hall were packed with shoppers both days. Sharon and I had a great time in our beautiful spot in the church. We met some lovely guild members. Thanks to all of you who came out and to the members of the guild who invited us to be a part. The next guild show is in November. Stay tuned!
