Happy 15th Anniversary to Beauty and the Beads

Sharon and I are proud that our fledgling business which began with a small table of handcrafted jewelry at the Holy Child Academy Halloween Party in 2006 has blossomed into a well established business with a following of over 600 customers.  And all of this happened while raising families and living our fascinating lives!

In order to keep our designs exciting and new, Sharon and I have immersed ourselves in classes from setting stones in precious metal clay to mastering Japanese Kumihimo braiding patterns on a Marudai.  Some of our favorite beading buddies have named us the "Brad Pitts of Kumihimo!". We have taught classes in Kumihimo and stringing. We have juried and been accepted into many of the artisan communities in Eastern Pennsylvania and are members of the American Kumihimo Society, the Haverford Guild of Craftsmen, and the Main Line Bead Society.

Sharon and I are grateful to all of our supportive customers who come to our bi-annual home shows, often visit our website, visit us at Fine Art and Craft Shows, and Follow and Like us on Facebook and Instagram.  We would also like to thank in a special way our original bead group who helped get Beauty and the Beads off the ground - Diane Moseson, Toni Tomkowich, and the late Julia Zaccaria.

It is still a thrill to see someone wearing a piece of our jewelry when we are out and about!
